Dr. Viviana M Ramirez was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. She attended the University of Puerto Rico and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. After graduating in 2008, she began her dental education at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a degree as a Doctor in Dental Medicine in 2012. There she was recognized by the American Association of Women Dentists with the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Dental Student Award for her academic excellence and outstanding leadership within her class. She continued her studies by completing a year in the General Practice Residency Program at Hospital Federico Trilla, an affiliate of her alma mater, graduating in 2013 and receiving the Resident of the Year award.
Dr. Ramirez, got married in 2012 and has a wonderful family of four which include her husband and her two Chihuahuas. To add to that, she’s not the only doctor in her house. She’s had the opportunity to practice dentistry in Dallas, New York and San Antonio, having lived in the latter for the last two years, while her husband, now a Nephrologist, completed his fellowship program at UTSA.
Dr. Ramirez takes a conservative approach and makes her best efforts to make sure her patients are cared for and are at ease. During her spare time, Dr. Ramirez loves to travel, hike, work on DIY projects, and enjoys quality time with her husband and furry children.
